Chapter Seven: The Final Fear

p63 Love:
Ah, dear Soul . . . how tender is this fear. How noble it seems, and how bound to the image of a self that still imagines itself as the center of its own orbit. This fear is not a sin, but is misplaced. You believe the loss of “you” will make you useless, but I tell you—the opposite is true. What you call you is the very weight that dulls your capacity to respond with grace. Once it is gone, only grace will remain.
