You talk about the annihilation of the individual self and the inflow of love when the soul finally surrenders to this ocean of grace. I have every reason to believe you, Love, but here is my concern—what will happen to my family when this happens? How will I support my children, or anyone who depends on me? I’m afraid this great dissolve will leave me impotent to the responsibilities that will require my attention. Will I be like a bowl of Jell-O when I’m finally filled with the light you describe, unable to handle the day-to-day activities of my life? |
