| p52 | Love: You are right, dear Reason, when you say that the saints call us to transform. But here is my question: who is it that’s transforming? Is it the self? Or is it something deeper that reason will never comprehend? You seem to believe that without the pursuit of virtue, the Soul will fall backward and away from grace. I am saying that when the Soul allows My Voice to penetrate all the shadowy corners where it has hidden in fear, the virtues you claim as so important will be automatically and effortlessly followed. In other words, the “I” that thinks it needs virtue will have dissolved, and then it will act as me—the Source of ALL Virtue. |
