| p37 | Soul: The worst thing that could happen to anyone is to receive accolades, or to become famous for one thing or another. According to everything I’m learning from you, it simply leads to greater and deeper illusions of one’s self. I can remember wishing I possessed some degree of notoriety, and when it happened I realized how much of a trap it was. I felt the heaviness of fame, like heavy weights tied to my belt, pulling me deeper into the illusion of self-accomplishment. Do you think it’s better to remain anonymous, without any recognition at all? Or is there more value in achieving the so-called dream of fame, or success, then realize it has no value at all? |
